IMS ExpertServices was asked to search for a computer systems expert with a background in network architecture, and, more specifically, expertise in Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and setting up computer systems to send and receive email. This was a patent infringement case related to a method and apparatus for receiving, analyzing, and responding to encoded data and, in particular, monitoring financial market information and remotely informing users of the occurrence of selected events.
