This biomaterials expert has nearly 40 years of experience in the polymer, plastics and biodegradable materials industry. After two post doctoral fellowships with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), he taught graduate level courses in biomaterials science and American Chemical Society courses in polymer chemistry and biochemistry. After teaching, he became senior researcher for the biomaterial department of a major chemical company. He was the research director of a scientific team responsible for development of biodegradable compositions. He has senior executive experience in research and development of biomaterial products for neurovascular disorders. He is the founder of a technical guidance and intellectual property services firm for corporations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 50 companies. He is a registered Patent Agent and holds numerous patents on implantable prostheses, polylactide compositions and other plastic materials.
