How does your service work?
IMS works primarily with law firms and large corporations on business to business litigation. When you contact us with a specification for an expert, we go out and perform a customized search for the best expert with the case-specific characteristics.

What are the fees for your service?
There is no fee for the search. We perform a search to locate the best qualified, pre-vetted, and conflict free experts to match your case needs. You are then presented with the best possible expert candidates to review. Should you engage our expert, our fee is a flat rate embedded in their hourly rate, not a percentage.

How do I contact one of the experts from your website?
The case studies and experts presented on our site are examples of the kind of results we can provide. Your case is most likely different in some ways from what is described on our site. While we would certainly include the experts from our website in any search, what you see on our site would not necessarily be a good fit for a similar case. We will perform a customized search for the exact expert to meet your need.

How can I get added to your database or get considered for expert witness projects?
First, please understand that we are not a registry or database of experts. However, we maintain records of expert candidates which have been considered for cases. If you'd like to update your current information, please create an account on Expert Access and update your information. You can upload your resume/CV, rate sheet, litigation support history, professional photo, etc.

What are the fees for being listed with your company?
Since we are a search firm, not a registry or database of experts, we do not charge a fee to our experts.

What kind of experts do you work with?

I was presented on a case but haven't heard anything in a while. Do I need to follow up?
Unfortunately many cases become stalled or delayed for any number of reasons. It is quite possible that the client has not made a decision regarding his expert needs. As they say, "the wheels of justice turn slowly."

While we are happy to refer you to appropriate resources IMS works almost exclusively with law firms and large corporations on business to business litigation and planning. Additionally, we cannot offer assistance with criminal cases, plaintiff personal injury, child abuse, divorce, or other similar cases.

 I am an inventor interested in patent or portfolio valuation. Can IMS help me?
