Banking Regulations Expert in Chinese Law
An expert in banking regulations was needed for a jurisdiction issue involving a financial institution in China. A U.S. court directed the defendant, a financial institution in China, to freeze the assets of a third party individual and produce its banking account records to determine the third party’s complicity in the manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit consumer goods. The defendant responded that it would be in violation of Chinese banking law if it complied with the U.S. court order.
IMS ExpertServices was asked to locate an expert in banking regulations and specifically Chinese banking laws and how they are enforced.
