Corporate Law Expert in Class Action Appeals

Case Description:

A corporate law expert in class action appeals was needed to preside over a class action case a client wished to present in moot court. The plaintiffs were franchisees of a chain of fast food restaurants. The defendant was another fast food restaurant. Plaintiffs filed a class action suit alleging the defendant offered false and misleading representations during a promotional campaign it used to attract customers and enhance customer loyalty, diverting business away from the plaintiffs and leading to windfall profits for the defendant. When the defendant successfully filed a motion to dismiss the class action case, plaintiffs appealed. The defendant wished to put the case through moot court before the appeal was heard.

IMS ExpertServices was asked to locate a corporate law expert in class action appeals to preside over the moot court case. The selected expert might also be asked to consult on the actual appeals case by editing the appellate brief.
