Electronics Manufacturing Expert in ESD
An electronics manufacturing expert in electrostatic discharge was needed for a patent infringement case appearing before the U.S. International Trade Commission. The plaintiff owned three patents for ceramic bonding tool tips that allowed soldering of electronic components without occurrence of damaging electrostatic discharge, referred to as ESD. Plaintiff alleged the defendants were infringing on its patents by importing hard disk drives that had been manufactured offshore using infringing components.
IMS ExpertServices was asked to locate an expert in electronics manufacturing who understood ESD issues associated with hard disk drive manufacturing and how ESD problems affect disk drive manufacturing yields.
