Flat Panel Display Expert in Plasma Screens
An expert in flat panel displays was needed for a patent infringement case involving a method to improve image quality and color by reducing color deviation problems and adjusting the gray level white balance output. Flat panel displays have become a popular option for computer monitors and televisions as they are considerably lighter and thinner than traditional CRT displays.
IMS ExpertServices was asked to locate a flat panel display expert with an understanding of the electronic components used in plasma screens. The expert was required for forensic engineering services to review how the gray levels are measured, created, adjusted and manipulated by the appropriate electronic components, in the course of signal processing to create the optimum color and gray tone balances necessary for a superior picture.
Digital Display Technologies
This expert in flat panel displays has more than thirty years of experience in high-tech product engineering and development. He holds both a BA and an MA in Physics as well as a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He has been working with displays and electronic components since the early 1970s. Starting in the early 1990s he focused on materials and design for flat panel displays. He is currently the director of research for Plasma, LCDs and other cutting-edge technologies for a major research laboratory. He has worked on resolving the technical issues of image quality and white balance.IMS Reference #4974078
