Director of Jury Consulting & Strategy
Q: Why did you choose a career in the legal services industry?
A: I started my career working for an aeronautics company in the price cost department, but I had an interest in the legal industry. That interest led me to seek a master’s degree in legal administration. During a business trip, I met an executive at an Am Law 200 firm, we spoke about my graduate degree and she introduced me to the idea of transitioning to the legal services industry. Later, another successful woman, who is an attorney and senior director at another top law firm, offered me my first job in the industry. I appreciate these amazing women for providing me opportunities. Through their guidance, my career blossomed, and I fell in love with what I do.
Q: Of the many women throughout history who broke down gender stereotypes who do you admire most and why?
A: One of the women I admire is Michelle Obama. She has used her platforms as First Lady, wife, mother, and attorney to bring attention to a variety of social issues and to educate people about them. She has pushed through glass ceilings, and continues do so, and she inspires all women to do the same. All women have the power to influence and embolden the next generation of women.
Q: What advice would you give to women who are working or interested in working in your field?
A: Seek out successful women you admire in the legal industry. You will be surprised how much they are willing to help your career!
