Scope of National Awards Confirms Union Between IMS Consulting & Expert Services and The Focal Point Successfully Delivering Unparalleled Depth and Breadth of Value to Clients Throughout Commercial Litigation Community
PENSACOLA, FLA | The National Law Journal has announced IMS Consulting & Expert Services as a top-three winner across an unprecedented range of six distinct categories in its annual “Best Of” rankings. In addition to recognition in several categories won by the firm in recent years, the Journal has also recognized IMS Consulting & Expert Services in the new areas of Best Jury Consulting and Best Demonstrative Evidence Provider.
These new awards are a result of expanded client offerings available to IMS Consulting & Expert Services clients following the firm's recent merger with The Focal Point.
In 2019, IMS Consulting & Expert Services joined with The Focal Point, a highly respected national litigation consultancy with offices in Dallas, New York, and Oakland. This partnership was designed to equip clients with deeper access to the services and perspective they need to design and execute strategies throughout the entire civil trial process.
“In 2019, both companies were confident we had the right combination of experience, tools, and capabilities to service our clients not only differently than everyone else, but also better,” noted senior advisor Chris Ritter, who has consulted on hundreds of trials and authored several best-selling trial practice books through the American Bar Association. He continued, “We were confident that together we could expand the number and types of persuasion tools and strategies for our clients. These awards from the Journal, which originate from our actual clients and industry peers, prove this approach is working.”
The firms both share consistent values related to diligence and exceptional client service, and have earned strong customer loyalty for nearly three decades, and across 10,000 cases and 5,000 trials.
"Some of the sharpest attorneys in all types of complex trials throughout the country trust us as members of their own team,” remarked senior advisor Jason Barnes. “For thirty years, we’ve earned a reputation for providing clients the right tools and information, the clearest views, and the deepest context they need to shape their strategy. It’s impressive to see this national recognition from the Journal’s readership.”
The National Law Journal’s annual “Best Of” readership awards were established to identify and highlight the best among dozens of categories of legal products, brands, and services across the U.S. The awards and rankings are developed annually. Methodology for the awards includes a nominations process and voting from the Journal’s readers throughout the U.S. legal community.
"Everything we do is focused on helping our clients win," remarked James Crane, Chief Revenue Officer. "We understand that their reputation - and that of their clients - is at stake on each case. Clients have trusted us for nearly thirty years to successfully deliver preeminent expert witnesses on their cases. They were telling us they needed the highest caliber expertise in areas throughout the broader stages of their cases, such as jury and trial consulting. In 2018, we meticulously assessed the market and found The Focal Point to be the true best-in-class experts in their fields. These awards are a powerful confirmation that our clients agree with that assessment, and for that, we are grateful."
IMS Consulting & Expert Services is recognized in six categories of this year’s “Best Of” from the Journal, including Best Jury Consulting, Best Demonstrative Evidence Provider, Best Intellectual Property Litigation Consulting, Best Litigation Dispute Advisory Services, and Best Expert Witness Provider. A special thought leadership article from IMS Consulting & Expert Services will be featured in the 2020 “Best Of” edition along with this year's rankings.
